Long time no write

Well its been a while since I logged onto this site.

This has been to me being quite ill, not to go into details but still off work (Which is depressing me as I enjoy my job) and there is no resolution in sight.
Back at the docs tomorrow.

In the meantime the Golden Compass is out at the cinema and I have to watch this film. Having read His Dark Materials I want to see the film representation.

That was the week that was

Well I haven't written anything in a while, but I have been busy.

I have been on holiday for a week and been taking the kids out all over the place.

Went to the beach, walking the dogs, the zoo and generally having some quality time with my children.

Hope everyone is ok and doing well, oh yeah no one reads this as they don't know about it yet !!!

New Camera

Well I treated myself this month to a new camera. It came yesterday and I only ordered it on Friday ! Amazon has an amazing turn around.

The camera is a Fujifilm 9600 and its the first camera I have had that's not a point and click.

The few pictures I have taken are stunning, the detail are amazing and that's just doing them as a point and click, I haven't tried any of the settings yet, think I'm going to seek some advice from the guys at work on what the settings do.

Yes I know you get a manual but it means reading it, yes I know that's bad for a technical author to say that but its complicated !

Anyway, now all I have to do is figure out how to upload pictures to this blog then I can have a little picture gallery.

Harry Potter - The Deathly Hallows

Well just finished reading the new Harry Potter book.

Slightly confusing at the beginning but it all explains a lot in the end.

Another superb book and a good conclusion to the end.
A lot of the rumors out there are true, but I don't want to spoil the book for those who haven't read it yet.

All I can suggest is find yourself a quiet place and read it.

Its hard to put down.

On other fronts, Kids are doing great, everything else is the same.

Domino's growing so fast now and he is showing true traits of a Jack Russell, which is slightly worrying as I don't want him as a hunting dog, but as a family pet, so much for rescuing him.

Friends I miss, a friend I love no longer loves me. Kind of hard when that happens but the friends I have keep pulling me through. Just hope my friend is happy and well cared for. Miss you Nimir-Ra

Good Weekend ?

I watch Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix at the weekend.
Thought it was a good film but like all the others it lacked the substance of the book.

I know that's common within films but Lord of the Rings kept a lot of the detail, where the Harry Potter films seemed to have lost it.

I personally would like the films to be longer and keep more detail, rather than losing those subtle touches that make the book.

Again I did enjoy the film as a film but not as a representation of the book.

 My puppy had its final injections at the weekend, so he can now go for a walk.
He went for his first one tonight ! He was terrified at first but soon got into the swing of being on a lead and walking. He's currently lead in his bed shattered, I think that's where I should be.

Yes another bad day.

Well, just another day in paradise !!
Works still s**t as is home life.
All I seem to do is get into arguments, has to be more than this in life.

Its still raining, are we going to see a summer this year ?

Oh well back to work.

Things need to change in my life, I know where I want to be but I cant be there. Its so frustrating and confusing at the same time.

Well it seems that Windows Live Writer works quite well on an initial view.

Ill let you know more as and when it gets used.

In the meantime I have been trawling through old posts and found this that made me chuckle.

After every flight, Quantas Airline pilots fill out a form, called a "gripe sheet," which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft.
The mechanics correct the problems, document their repairs on the form, and then pilots review the gripe sheets before the next flight.Never let it be said that ground crews lack a sense of humor.
Here are some actual maintenance complaints submitted by Quantas' pilots and the solutions recorded by maintenance engineers.

By the way, Quantas is the only major airline that has never had an accident.

Hot in Here

Well the sun actually came out today and it was great to see blue skies again.
Problem is its so damn hot in here tonight.

Things are going well at work, very busy, but thats no different from normal.

Still struggling with a few things in life, seeing people I dont want to see because it hurts, but coping pretty well considering.

Even friends have said how well I am looking compared to a couple of months ago when I was an absolute basket case.

I think its because Im relaxing more (Ok a few beers help that) but I have made new friends who are helping me through things.

So a big thank you to them, you know who you are.

There are so many people leaving at work at the moment, its hard to see how the company can replace some of them, their knowledge of the software and how it all goes together is really irreplacable, but I wish them all the luck in the world on their new voyage.

Revival

Well I was browsing the web and came across my olg blog, so I thought Id have a read through, tidy the place up a bit and maybe start writing again.

I dont know if any of the old school are still blogging, Ill have to have a browse, for Ron, Elsie, Witho and of course Blue Witch.

Don't know if I want to start blogging again or if I can be bothered trying to write again, but hey its a place to vent my frustrations anyway.

So, whats changed ?
Well for me Im still working at [insert company name here] and its been a great two years.
I have had Tech Authors working under me, we rebranded the company and I am now doing a lot of the martketing material for the company.

Home life, well, the kids are doing great, my daughter is now looking at Uni placements (Even though she has to do college first) and my son is so hyperactive its like nailing jelly to a wall.

We now have another dog, a Jack Russell, who my son named Domino (As hes black and white) who really wants to play all the time, whereas my other dog just cant be bothered with him.

We wont go into other aspect of home life just yet I will see how they go first.
Hope your all ok, Ill post some pictures when I get my cam working, and see how we go with the writing.
